Personally I would have just gone for the 3D models crawling up from the summoning circle or just appearing in a flash and maybe do a little emotive movement but this.? This would look 100 times better without the scroll and just the artwork appearing.Īnd while I used to crop artwork for a living for a time and thus don't envy people that have to do that I also know that it's not that hard to impliment, especially since you have some SFX going already so it stands to reason you can smoothen over any 2D-art-in-a-3D-space-jank with some effects. Why the obnoxious scroll that hides 60-70% of the work you guys did on the summoning room shot? You already have shown you CAN do neat effects on most of the spells I've gotten around to try out in the remake. fine.īut why, oh WHY can't the 2D artwork just appear with a flash and some pretty particle effects? If the 3D models are too low-poly or their textures are not fitting for closeups. I am not summoning a skeleton drawing, I am summoning a skeleton! Why does there have to be a humongously huge scroll in the middle of the screen hiding away the summoning? The old game basically was also just one picture slowly rising. The summons, which already have 3D models you otherwise can't zoom in on on the strategy or tactical map, do already though! The room is modelled nicely but our wizard does not deserve even a model?
